Amid worsening water scarcity in Gaza, Alkhair Foundation launched a clean water initiative supported by a charitable donor to provide safe drinking water for families facing severe shortages and limited access to reliable sources.
The project helped reduce the daily burden on residents by alleviating water supply interruptions that had posed a persistent challenge for many communities.
The initiative included operating water distribution points, providing storage tanks and additional pumping hours, and improving water delivery networks in areas experiencing chronic supply shortages. These efforts reduced the distances families must travel to obtain drinking water and strengthened water security for beneficiary communities.
Alkhair Foundation affirmed that the water initiative forms part of its ongoing programs aimed at improving quality of life and supporting essential infrastructure in the most vulnerable communities, noting its readiness to expand the project in the coming period.
