Alkhair Foundation continues to implement its humanitarian response in Sri Lanka to support families affected by flooding by distributing food boxes and safe drinking water to households directly impacted by displacement and livelihood losses.
This phase of the response included delivering food assistance and potable water to the most severely affected areas as part of interventions aimed at meeting urgent needs and reducing the disaster’s impact on daily life.
These efforts build on a series of responses carried out by Alkhair Foundation in Sri Lanka since the onset of flooding in recent months. Interventions have focused on strengthening food security and providing essential needs for affected populations, in coordination with field teams and local partners.
Alkhair Foundation affirmed that the continuation of this response reflects its humanitarian commitment to supporting communities affected by natural disasters, alleviating suffering, and enhancing their capacity to overcome the impacts of emergencies.
