As part of its Ramadan efforts, Al-Khair Foundation carried out two consecutive iftar initiatives for Sudanese refugees in camps across Uganda. The initiatives aimed to reduce the daily hardships of displaced families by providing complete meals during the holy month.
Field teams reported that the efforts targeted the largest number of households possible, taking into account family size and specific needs to ensure equitable and effective distribution.
Beneficiaries welcomed the initiatives, noting that they allowed them to observe iftar with dignity and security despite challenging living conditions as refugees. Al-Khair Foundation confirmed that all distributions adhered to strict humanitarian standards, with ongoing monitoring to provide additional support where necessary.
The Foundation stresses that these initiatives reflect its sustained commitment to Sudanese refugees in Uganda, emphasizing practical, ongoing support designed to address real needs and make a tangible difference in the lives of families during Ramadan.
