The Excavator for Aceh project is a vital component of the recovery phase following the devastating floods and flash floods in Aceh Province, Indonesia. The disaster has left many areas inaccessible due to mud, debris, and wooden waste, severely hindering community movement, environmental recovery, and rehabilitation efforts.
Providing excavator services will significantly accelerate debris clearance, restore access roads, and rehabilitate damaged infrastructure, supporting the affected communities’ return to normal life.
The project involves the immediate rental and operation of excavators and dump trucks in flood-affected areas to restore access and rehabilitate infrastructure. It will support humanitarian aid delivery and overall recovery, implemented in close coordination with local authorities, NGOs, and community groups.
