Through the “Bas Law” Initiative, which aims to empower youth and promote professional independence, a new chapter has begun in the life of Yousef Younes.

Yousef (25 years old) became the primary provider for his family after his father’s passing. He graduated from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University but was unable to secure a job in his field. To support his family, he worked as a cleaner in a factory.

Amid grief and responsibility, Yousef was accepted into a training program at the Business and Technology Incubator at the Islamic University. There, he rediscovered his passion for audio engineering—a talent he had begun developing during his university years.

Throughout the training, sound engineers and mentors praised his exceptional talent and professionalism in audio production.

However, his biggest challenge was the lack of proper equipment. Without a private room at home, Yousef used to record in his sister’s room by stacking mattresses together to create makeshift sound insulation.

The Real Impact

Through generous support from the Bas Law Initiative, Yousef received a fully equipped small recording studio along with a professional computer worth $4,500.

Today, he no longer records between stacked mattresses. He now works in a professional environment that enables him to expand his projects, refine his skills, and secure sustainable income for his family.

The Bas Law Initiative did not just provide equipment—it opened the door to a new life filled with opportunity and success.
