Community Recovery Laundries

In displacement camps across Gaza, thousands of families face daily challenges in washing their clothes due to limited water supplies, prolonged power outages, and the lack of adequate laundry facilities.

The Community Recovery Laundries project establishes and operates safe, well-organized community laundries that enable displaced families to access reliable laundry services, promote hygiene and public health, and create dignified employment opportunities for women and young people.

More Than Laundries… A Step Towards Community Recovery

Displaced families living in camps need essential services that help them maintain hygiene and protect their health despite extremely difficult living conditions.

Through the Community Recovery Laundries in Gaza project, Alkhair Foundation is establishing dedicated laundry facilities equipped with clean water connections, sanitation systems, electrical infrastructure, and automatic washing machines.

The project helps reduce the daily burden of handwashing, improves hygiene conditions within displacement camps, and strengthens the local community's capacity to manage a sustainable service that supports families with dignity.
