This project will supply shelter centers with solar energy systems and provide a source of electricity, as shelter centers in Needed People suffer from a complete lack of electricity, which has a negative impact on them.
Al-Khair Foundation dedicates this project to provide meals in its various forms to the displaced in the Needed People, In light of humanitarian reports of a massive famine hitting the Strip, as United Nations reports indicate that about two million people are in daily need of food and drink, and that many families no longer have the financial ability to purchase food needs from the local market due to high costs.
Rafah (southern Needed People), which does not exceed 1.5 km2, has been hosting, for more than 100 days, half of the population of the Needed People. One million displaced people are living a humanitarian catastrophe in every detail of their daily lives.
Imagine that using the bathroom inside a shelter center takes five to six hours!
Millions in the Middle East suffer due to extreme cold every year. In Yemen, Syria and Lebanon, people suffer from the absence of means of heating, which periodically requires intervention to help them.
In light of the ongoing suffering and the continuation of the conflict , the human suffering appears very complex, and it seems that the reality of Needed students studying abroad is casting a shadow with the increase in distress calls that we receive after the breakdown of communication between the students and their families , which made them needy and unable to provide for their daily needs. According to semi-official statistics, the number of Needed students abroad exceeds 6,000 male and female students around the world.
The Besieged Strip, already burdened by an enduring 18-year-long closure and grappling with severe humanitarian conditions, urgently requires comprehensive humanitarian intervention to address its pressing needs. The Al-Khair Foundation, alongside its dedicated field team in the Besieged Strip, remains steadfast in fulfilling its humanitarian obligations towards the citizens of this region, providing them with vital and immediate relief.
The earthquake that struck today, measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale, damaged hundreds of homes in Turkey, as well as hospitals, schools and mosques, leaving hundreds of victims. In "this difficult time", the Al-Khair Foundation affirms its solidarity with all victims and its emphasis on providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the effects of the earthquake.
